Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Harrisburg West, PA

The Inn's location is excellent: the intersection of the Pennsylvania Turnpike and the busy north-south highway, US 15. Despite the nearby traffic, absolutely no noise penetrates what must be exceptional soundproofing. Our Queen Suite was large by any standard, and the beds were comfortable. Overall, though, the room was just a little tired. The bed linens were quite worn, almost flimsy, and the cracks and corners, especially the bathroom, showed accumulated dirt. (We ended up on the first floor, a dog floor even though we had none with us, and floors were linoleum wood rather than carpet.). With these minor reservations, the hotel was good value, particularly given the latest tariffs of the handful of nearby hotels. We paid just over $200 for two nights. Staying at one of the other places would have cost at least an extra $100. We will stay there again, but we will do so with our eyes open and thankful for the economic rates. Breakfast was fine, and the beverage selection in the lobby included coffee, herbal tea, and fresh fruit-infused ice water, a nice touch. The miniature Swiss fruit-flavored hard candies were a surprise pick-me-up as well. Lest the reader fixate on the smatterings of grime and the condition of the sheets, please know that the manager on desk duty informed us that Radisoon was going to do a hotel-wide update, including some structural improvements, in the winter during a slower travel season.

This was an overnight on our way down to Florida. The following morning we put items together in a pillowcase and left them on the bed while we went to breakfast. Unfortunately we left them on the bed when we left. We didn’t realize our error until that evening. We called and they could not find anything but advised us to call the next day and connect with housekeeping. This may sound unimportant to someone else but there was a jacket flannel that was a Christmas gift from my daughter I was so heartbroken. We called the following morning I spoke with Ashley and she spoke with housekeeping. They looked in lost and found but did not find anything. They said they would check the room and give us a call back. I appreciated the thought but really had little hope. The following morning I had a voicemail that they had found them! I was ecstatic! I asked them to use the credit card on file and if they would mind mailing it to the address we were staying at in Florida. I received a call a couple of hours later and told me it was mailed. I received it he package today and all was in good orderl It is not always expected that this kind of service is available. I thank Ashley and the other staff that helped in this process. Comfortable, breakfast was basic but fine.

Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was hot and delicious. Housekeeping was lax, our bed was never made, I wasn't expecting linen changed during our 4 nights stay but bed should have been made up. Room was cleaned but Kleenex was not refilled, or drinking cups refilled. Breakfast was a pleasure especially the woman in charge, always asking how to be of assistance. Would return if in the area.

Front desk and stuff was very friendly, big rooms, good parking for our oversized car. Breakfast was phenomenal. I've been staying in places 4 or 5 times more expensive with worse breakfast.
